One for the books, a weekend to remember, the last hoorah – nothing quite compares to pure indulgence in the company of lifelong friends. Old stories come to light, running jokes reemerge and a space between past/present is created. Neither there nor here, but together – as if time never passed. Connection, bliss and the celebration of life are the center of it all. Which served as the blueprint for our latest partnership with our friends over at Mr.C, celebrating lifelong bonds that continuously bring out our inner children.

For our second collaboration with Mr.C, the focus was on the talent. We recruited a group of rambunctious older folks who are part of an acting class up in Del Rey – Don, Leon, Wendy, Gloria and Sondra. Five characters full of humor, wit, charisma and intellect. The idea was for them to have a good time, be pampered and indulge in the opulent amenities the Mr.C has to offer its guests. So we made sure to do just that. A car service picked them up in Del Rey and brought them down to the heart of the Grove.

The backdrop was none other than the presidential suite, of course. A nautical inspired room on the top floor of the Mr.C, designed precisely to embody an old cruise ship – full of decadence and equipped for sophisticated debauchery. Food was served, drinks were flowing and the stories poured out. Even the bellhop got in on the action. The group demanded he join in on the celebration with them. Hearing the banter, seeing the smiles and getting these folks out of their usual routine was a delight to see and one we won’t forget.

As we documented this afternoon of indulgence – our talent sported some new releases on the horizon. Three iterations of the signature Mr.C Carousel - Black with Blue Polarized Lenses, Vintage Tortoise with Piscine Lenses and Carousel Indigo with Smoke Green Lenses (Gradient). All pulling inspiration from rich colors found throughout the Mr.C property. Each showcasing an effortless way to add a touch of color and spontaneity to your eyewear. No matter the age, life is a continuous celebration that can be expressed through playfulness. We chose to add subtle design cues into these latest styles to showcase moments of playfulness and excitement – a weekend to remember.
